THE POWER OF THE LOVE OF GOD

John 14:26 states, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.  8. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:   13. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but what so ever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come.”  John 16:7, 8, & 13.

My desire is to build your faith so you can do the will of God, concerning your life, and to help you overcome all obstacles that hinder the move of God in your life.

God has a perfect plan for you and me.  When we fix our thoughts on Him, and desire to do His will, then He changes any circumstance into a blessing.  God has taught me a lot of things by reading His word and becoming intimate with Him.   The more I know Him, the stronger my faith becomes.  “So then, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”  Romans 10:17.

I was raised in a very strict home of seven children.  I was not the favorite child.  I had dark skin with brown eyes, and didn’t look or acted nothing like any of my other siblings.  My eyes were large and I was skinny, therefore, I was made fun of and picked on most of my life.  I loved my classmates and school didn’t come easy for me.

Sure enough, God started changing all of that for me.  When I would get lonely, He would give me dreams of Him, and He had a way of watching over me so that I didn’t get myself into any serious trouble.   At the age of seven or eight, I gave my heart to the Lord.  I didn’t understand much about Him, except I loved Him, and He was in heaven where a sweet old lady went that I loved.  I was never wild.  I was always trying to be accepted by others.

At the age of sixteen, I was date raped and not able to talk to my parents or anyone else about it.   I married the man that raped me, thinking no one would want to marry a girl who has had sex with someone else.  I was afraid of him.   He beat me up, for four out of the five years we were married.  It was at that time, I tried to take my life, but I was pregnant with my second child.  I really didn’t want another child to be abused by his or her father.  So, I finally left after giving birth to my third child.  I was beaten badly and had a large blood clot on my face, the doctor said I needed surgery to have it removed.  I was twenty-one years old, then with three children, and no place to turn.  My parents said I could stay at their house for fifty dollars a week.

All I knew was, I needed God like never before.  I went to a tent revival where God made Himself real to me.  He healed my blood clot at the tent revival that same day!  Then He filled me with the Holy Ghost a week later.  At that time I thought, once you receive the Holy Ghost you have gone as far as you can go with God.

At the age of twenty-three, I married a man I thought loved my children.  After the age of thirty-four, I was so miserable I decided to serve God no matter what.  I knew the Lord would love me and make my life worth living.  After two years God put me in business taking care of the elderly.  Six months later God exposed my husband.  By then, I was married to him eighteen years and had two children with him.  I didn’t know he was molesting my children.  I divorced him also.  The Holy Ghost carried me through all of those days I didn’t think I could carry on.  I needed God more and more, and I begin to realize I couldn’t live without Him.

After seven years of being in business in West Virginia I moved back to Florida, the place I was born and raised.  I started working for nursing agencies.  I learned that if I worked for the Lord, He would not let me down, and He would not fail me.  I would tell God to use me and many times God would.  Sometimes, He saved some of my patients.  He healed a lady with emphysema that was dying.  He healed another lady that was in the process of dying with sclerosis of the liver.  He healed a man from cancer, and also healed many others.  He would talk with me and guide me through the Holy Spirit.

I was present when two different patients, at different times were bothered with demons.  I called my pastor for help.  When he prayed, the glass rattled.  The demons left and they no longer were bothered with them.  I realized I needed more power from God, because I could get them out of the room, but not the house!

Two and a half years later, God put me back in business taking care of the elderly.  It was then that where He showed me how simple it was for Him to raise the dead.  He wants us to give all of our heart to Him, to be committed to serving and working for Him.

I’ll never forget, it was January 13, 1994 when a patient of mine was sitting in a chair at my home.  I thought she was sleeping with her arm hanging down.  I picked it up and realize she was dead!  She had no pulse and in fact was cold!  I called 911, and then I began to yell at God.  I was upset!  God did not warn me of her death, as He had a way of preparing me before.  Her chair had wheels on it, so I I was able to push over to the couch to lay her down.  I yelled at God the whole time. Then, I told God, “Don’t take her now, besides I love her too much.”  While I was laying her on the couch, she turned her head and said, “I heard your prayer, I was in the ceiling wondering how long it was going to take before you realized I was gone.”   As it turned out January 13, 1996 was the funeral for that patient.  I started packing her clothing and paper work when I realized she was buried on the second anniversary of her first death.

I had another patient, after having had Alzheimer’s disease for many years; he also came down with an obstruction of the bowels.  His wife and doctor decided it was best for him not to have the corrective surgery, because of the level of his Alzheimer’s disease.   After not having water or food for eight days my daughter Linda told his wife, he had to make it through December 31.  Because the government would take away his December check and she would not be able to claim him on her taxes for the full year.   It was on December 31, 1997 at 10:00 p.m. when he died.  His daughter yelled, “Oh no he’s gone!”  Having the Power of the Holy Ghost, I yelled, “Oh no you don’t, you get back here!”  He came back into his body!  I laid him on his side to make it easier for him to breath.  Then for two hours I coached him to breathe.   When midnight came, we told him he could go on.  By that time he was breathing well on his own.  At 3:00 a.m.  he started seeing heaven.  He was all smiles.  At 3:15 a.m. his wife rolled a damp wash cloth and laid it over his eyes.  Then, not being able to see heaven, he left us instantly.

It was the power of the Holy Ghost that raised the dead and healed the sick.  He loves all of us, what He did for me, He will do for you.  The more you comment yourself, the more He will bless you.  He wants you to hunger after Him, because He loves you.  He has a plan for your life, so get to know Him.  You will never be sorry you did, and you will never be alone.  Make this a day of making a full commitment to Him.

I have seen God heal the deaf, heal cancer, and watched many people lives changed in His presence.  I also worked a street ministry for four years at a coffee house called, “The Upper Room.”  There people were healed and God did other great miracles.  At the present I serve in prison ministry with “Compassionate Heart Ministries, Inc.”  I am available for speaking engagements.  Please contact me at admin@worldslargestkitchenoutreach.com.  I would love to hear from you.
